Casey Anthony Juror Speaks Out x Years Later on: 'My Decision Haunts Me'
On the 10-year anniversary of being empaneled on the notorious murder instance, the juror tells PEOPLE that he thinks nigh the case "at least once, every single day"
Ten years ago, seven women and five men were sworn in as jurors in the Casey Anthony trial, perhaps the most high-profile trial in the past 20 years.

From May to July 2011, none of the jurors — or the five alternates — missed a twenty-four hours in court. Although the 40 million Americans watching the case on live tv couldn't see their faces, the media in the court studied their every motility. Well-nigh everyone predicted that these 12 jurors would convict Anthony of murder in the death of her 2-year-one-time girl.
And then, the jurors did the unthinkable, acquitting her of all the serious charges confronting her. She was only convicted of lying to police. Two weeks subsequently, she walked free from jail.
The jurors accept kept a low-profile since the controversial verdict, many of them moving from the area later they were publicly named. Almost of them accept refused to give interviews.
A month after the verdict, one of the male person jurors spoke with PEOPLE to explain his accept on what happened. "By and large, none of us liked Casey Anthony at all," he told PEOPLE. "She seems like a horrible person. Only the prosecutors did not give united states plenty evidence to convict. X years later, that same juror has been rethinking the case.
"I think of the example at least once, every unmarried day," he told PEOPLE on Thursday. "It was such a strange summertime. I knew that there was public involvement in the case, just it wasn't until later on I was sequestered that I realized that the whole world was watching."

"Every time I see her confront or hear her name, I become a pit in my stomach," he continues. "Information technology all comes flooding back. I think about those pictures of the baby's remains that they showed united states of america in court. I call up Casey. I even recall the odour of the courtroom."
10 years ago, several jurors said that they battled their consciences as they voted to acquit Anthony of murder charges. The male person juror told PEOPLE at the time that the enormity of the acquittal bothered them in the jury room.
"And then we sat there for a few minutes and were like, 'Holy crap, we are letting her go gratuitous,'" he told PEOPLE in 2011. "Everyone was merely stunned at what we were about to practise. [Ane of the women jurors] asked me, 'Are yous okay with this?' and I said, 'Hell, no. Just what else tin nosotros practice? We promised to follow the law.'"
Now, the juror says he might have done things differently.

"My determination haunts me to this day," he says. "I call back now if I were to practice it over once more, I'd push harder to convict her of one of the bottom charges similar aggravated manslaughter. At least that. Or child abuse. I didn't know what the hell I was doing, and I didn't stand upwards for what I believed in at the time."
Some of the jurors kept up on group text messages for several months after the trial, simply soon people stopped responding. "It was painful for anybody," says the juror. "I remember feeling sick every fourth dimension I saw 1 of [the jurors'] names on my phone. And then I muted the conversation and stopped engaging. It was just besides hard."
Despite it all, the juror says he doesn't completely regret his time on the jury. "Information technology's traumatic to think about, and I wish I had done a lot of things differently," he says, "But it's a part of who I am. This instance volition stick with me for the residue of my life."
